The Bread and Butter Thing Launches Third Lincolnshire Food Club

Third time’s a charm for Lincolnshire, as we open food club number 3 in West Grantham. Funded by South Kesteven Council and Comic Relief, the new addition opened it’s doors on Friday 9th August at West Grantham Community Centre with a 23-strong team of local volunteers. It will run alongside it’s sister hubs in Iron Horse, Deepings and Stamford.

West Grantham’s team of volunteers ready for action

Cllr Rhea Rayside, SKDC Cabinet Member for People and Communities, said: “We are committed to supporting anyone who’s struggling in South Kesteven so it’s great to be working with The Bread and Butter Thing on the launch of their latest hub.

“If you’re looking for fresh, healthy, food that eases the strain on the purse strings, we urge you to come and check out any of their food hubs. We are very fortunate to have them here at a time when so many families are struggling.”

TBBT’s Chief Executive, Mark Game said: “We’re delighted to be working with South Kesteven Council again and expanding our Lincolnshire offering. They are committed to strengthening the resilience of their communities and that is something we can absolutely get on board with. We’ve been bowled over by the enthusiasm of the volunteers. We can’t wait to see how the hub evolves over the next 12 months and the positive impact our healthy food offering has on our new members.”
