Smells like team spirit: A Day of Laughs and Learning!

When team work makes the dream work!

It’s not often that we get our Manchester, North East and Stoke teams plus our Trustees altogether under one roof at Darlington’s Masonic Hall. We had a great time catching up with old faces, meeting new ones and putting names to faces. The day was filled with great conversations, learning, sharing, and, of course, plenty of food!

Our guest speaker, Neil Reid, the founder and chairman of The Big Food Project, eally inspired us with his talk about serving the community. His passion for making a difference was contagious and reminded us of the positive impact our work can have.

Dr. Julie Scanlon shared her insights on inclusion within our organisation. Her expertise offered valuable tips for improving behavior and communication, which are key to a happy workplace. Julie’s interactive style got us all thinking about how we can make Bread and Butter even more inclusive.

During breakout sessions, teams brainstormed, discussed best practices, and tackled common challenges together. The collaborative vibe was amazing as everyone shared stories and experiences from their regions.

But the real star of the show was Mark’s (ginormous!) puppy, Blue who became everyone’s best friend and excelled at being chief crumb-hoover.
