TBBT - one of the UK’s leading community food organisations - is bringing its innovative affordable food service to Warrington in partnership with Warrington Food Network and Warrington Borough Council, with support from key funders The Lyons Trust and The Purslow Trust.

TBBT is delighted to announce a new redistribution partnership with one of the world’s leading fruit distributors, Lincolnshire-based Worldwide Fruit Ltd.

Following a successful pilot with First Choice Homes in Oldham, TBBT is now accepting Healthy Start vouchers at all its hubs spanning the north of England.

TBBT has teamed up with Tameside Council to expand its innovative, affordable food service in the borough.

TBBT launched its inaugural impact report today at an online event hosted by BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst, with representatives from key suppliers, community partners and volunteers, alongside TBBT’s CEO, Mark Game. Together they charted the challenges and successes of The Bread and Butter Thing’s 2020, and outline the charity’s ambitious plans for 2021 and beyond.

In partnership with TBBT, Asda has donated nearly half a million meals across the North of England.

Morrisons is extending its work with leading food redistribution charity TBBT to provide great quality food for thousands of families in the UK, while at the same time significantly reducing food waste in its food making operations and supply chain around the UK. 

Launched in August, OL1-Oldham's Grocery Store Project is a voucher scheme run in partnership with TBBT and the local Emerging Communities team, enabling people in severe need and food insecurity to access nutritious food supplies.

TBBT is working with new partners across the North East to expand its innovative, sustainable service to County Durham and beyond. Supported by funding from Durham County Council, the first hub to open will be at Horden & Peterlee Rugby Club on 17th November.

Supermarket giant Iceland has teamed up with TBBT to offer free school meals to families in need across Greater Manchester and Darlington.

Leading food delivery company Deliveroo has donated essential household and food items from their ‘Essentials’ range to TBBT.

TBBT has received a donation of £15,000 from Amazon to help support its vital work supplying food for families and individuals effected by COVID-19 across the North of England.

TBBT, with its dedicated teams of volunteers in Greater Manchester and Darlington, has been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK - the equivalent of an MBE.

TBBT has received a donation of almost 1 million period products following a 6-month partnership with Morrisons, from Always – the UK’s leading period care brand.

As well as keeping power flowing across the region, key workers from Electricity North West are also working as volunteers to ensure people across Greater Manchester don’t go without food.

Easter came early today as TBBT received 329k chocolate goodies as part of Mars Wrigley's pledge to send 1m 'tokens of gratitude' to the UK's hardworking NHS, keyworkers and communities across the UK.

TBBT is teaming up with The Modern Milkman to provide Manchester's COVID-19 Crisis Response with daily deliveries of fresh food to the ill, elderly and isolated across the city, funded by Manchester City Council.
