When did you join TBBT?

September 2019


What was your background before joining? 

My background is in food, before I joined TBBT I managed a community centre café in Levenshulme where we used FareShare food to create daily specials, ready steady cook style, I think food is a great common denominator


What appealed to you about working for TBBT?

I volunteered with TBBT a while ago and loved it, I really like the approach to food surplus and creating food wealth in communities and the people who work for TBBT are all ace!


What’s the best thing about your job?

Jasper the dog 🐶 

And visiting all the hubs


What’s your own favourite type of food?

The kind of food when you haven’t got much in and so you just wing it and it actually tastes really good


What signature recipe would you share with TBBT members? 

Garlic, just keep adding garlic until it tastes edible or a really easily vegetable curry I make a lot.


Your top tip for reducing food waste in the home:

Forwarding planning does really help, though we don’t always do it, I think learning about cooking helps too, I like finding ways of using bits of food I used to throw away, like the stems of broccoli
