From the day we started all this, The Bread and Butter Thing has always looked to keep costs low and we've managed to get to the size and scale we are today simply through collaboration and the belief of others that supporting us was the right thing to do.
Today, we feed over 1,000 families every week in 17 hubs hubs across Greater Manchester, saving them over £1 million pounds annually
We've achieved this whilst residing with our friends FareShare Greater Manchester but we have 'leaned' on them for far too long, their generosity has been amazing but we need to embark on a new journey in our own shed.
From Monday 3rd June, we will be operating from our new shed in Littler's Point in Trafford Park in Manchester. Although this comes at a cost to us, our aim is to continue to grow into our new place and within 12 months look to double in size serving over 2,000 families in need across Greater Manchester saving them over £2 million on their food bills and helping build more communities.
